While the internet is an amazing tool, using it properly and effectively can be difficult. Students may find themselves viewing inappropriate material or faced with an awkward situation and should know what steps to take.

Net Rules:
Rules which all students
should read before accessing the internet.
1. Students will never provide personal information (age, full
name, location) unless deemed appropriate by teacher or parent.
2. If/when a student accesses information that he/she finds
unacceptable in any way, the student should tell a teacher or parent.
3. Students should not reply to emails from individuals whom they do
not know unless otherwise allowed by an adult.
4. Students will not use inappropriate language for any reason.
5. Do not download any files as they may contain a virus. Ask
parent or teacher permission before downloading files.
6. When sending emails, do not include personal information and keep
the emails concise and straight forward.
7. Students will stay on task when using internet and access only
sites which are allowed/recommended by the teacher/parent unless otherwise
noted.
8. Students should never copy any material and deem it as their own.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
9. Students will not provide anyone with the password to my student
log-in name or my email.
10. Students will use the internet to the fullest to help broaden my
knowledge.
